Decorative Flake Garage Flooring

At DMG, we understand that a beautiful and durable garage floor is essential to a functional and stylish garage. That's why we offer a comprehensive garage flooring service that will give your floor a professional finish that will stand the test of time. Our process includes the following steps:

  • Prep Concrete Floor: We patch cracks and diamond grind the floor to repair and fill cracks if necessary. We grind the top layer of the floor using a commercial diamond grinder and HEPA vacuum to ensure that the surface is smooth and ready for the next step.

  • Full Surface Primer Coat Application: We apply a full Sherwin-Williams Epoxy Primer coat across the garage floor using a dip and roll technique.

  • Glue Coat Application: We apply a dip and roll Sherwin-Williams Epoxy across the garage floor

  • Decorative Flake Application: We apply a full flake broadcast into the epoxy until rejection. We use 120lbs of flake in the color of your choice.

  • Scrape & Vacuum: We scrape rough flake edges, light sand as needed, and vacuum loose flakes in preparation for the clear polyaspartic topcoat.

  • Apply 2 Topcoats: We squeegee and back-roll two coats of Sherwin-Williams Polyaspartic Clear Topcoat over flakes. This seals and locks in flakes, provides UV protection against fading, increases floor thickness, improves durability, and prevents flake migration.

  • Trim Package: If the customer approves the epoxy floor quote trim package is complimentary. We will install 4" Base trim around the perimeter of the garage floor, including caulking and filling holes. We will also paint the trim.
